What is The Race for Education?The Race for Education is one of Saint Mary Catholic School's largest fundraisers and our goal this year is $50,000. Held each fall, this fundraiser plays a major role in funding a host of school-wide programs that benefit each student. Every dollar raised helps our students grow through the arts, foreign language, and other enrichment programs supported by the Race for Education by bridging the gap in funds that tuition does not cover. The Race for Education is one of Saint Mary School’s most beloved and impactful traditions! Each fall, our entire school community—children, families, faculty, and friends—comes together to celebrate faith, fitness, and fundraising in a joyful, school-wide event.
On race day, children from Pre-K through 8th grade walk or jog around the school grounds while being cheered on by classmates, teachers, and families. The event builds excitement and school spirit while encouraging every child to participate in a healthy activity.
The Race for Education is also one of the most important fundraisers of the year. Families, friends, and community supporters are invited to sponsor children with donations that directly benefit Saint Mary School’s academic programs, student activities, and operational needs. Every contribution, large or small, helps ensure that our children continue to grow happy, healthy, and thriving in a strong Catholic learning environment.
Highlights of the Race for Education include:- Pep Rally Kickoff – building excitement with music, cheers, and school pride.
- Student Participation – every child has the opportunity to race, regardless of donation level.
- Prizes & Incentives – fun rewards encourage children to set goals and celebrate milestones together.
- Community Spirit – families, parishioners, alumni, and local businesses join together in support of Saint Mary School.
